PART SIX you have come a long way

"I imagine a ship on the horizon. It travels north seeking a port. I see a boy on the deck seeking vision through a glass. I wave to him. It is a broad straight-arm wave of protection I beckon to him, join us. We are your shelter on these shores. Come home."
When Vishesh sees the boy on the distant ship, is he seeing his younger self or another on the same course of seeking? What does this say about the connection between humans? Does our path of discovery bring us closer together?

"We play with shells, small. We weave our play ships from leaves. The sun warms us. We share the warmth on that endless beach. Together."
In his dream in the movie theatre at the end the first chapter and again near the end of the book, the words of the poet Rabindranath Tagore are weaved through Vishesh's description of the beach and shore. How does the innocence of childhood play into Vishesh's arrival home at the end of the book? How does this beach compare to the Nargol beach of his childhood?

"Like a dream, never reported while it happens. Like an uncaged song, sweet and alive, but flying high. Like a moment of artistic creation, bright and new, unsullied. Meditation is an open window. We sit at the sill. A vista is revealed. There is no judgement, no anticipation, no memory or regret."
This is Vishesh's description of meditation near the end of the book. How does it compare to his description of his original memory from Nargol beach? Has he recovered that moment as he hoped? Or has he gained something new?
