I wrote this haiku because my pug loves to jump and eat flies, and sometimes there are none around, and she tries to eat imaginary flies. This gave me an idea about it being like enlightenment, where enlightenment and samsara are the same.
Your take on the haiku is interesting. Maybe even:
The dog's eyes seek
Ascent of Seeing
Nirvana on quickened wings.
Dog chasing a fly,
Teeth gnashing -
Instant Nirvana?
I invite anyone else to try a variation on this dog-fly-nirvana theme....

nirvana--
the fly escapes
imaginary teeth
I think yours is a better poem
I can do better
in mine the teeth are an illusion
in yours it is the fly himself who is the illusion
imaginary teeth
a fly escapes
nirvana at last
