The sun is set. Colors are set free. And before the waves of the Shores of Yogeshwara speaks - Sudhama. Friend of the Lord, the Support of Life itself, he sees the glory of his friend. What does he say?:
"O Kanha,
You come before me as a Friend.
Yet, when I hear Your footsteps
I want to place flowers
Upon where they tread.
And in the dark of the evening forests,
I sweep every needle in Your path.
But I see, in every needle,
All of Creation, singing:
"We want to be touched
By the Feet of Our Gardener!"
When my Being walks with You, O Kahna,
I am a part of a dance
Following You.
When my Being laughs with You, O Kahna,
I am a part of the Joy of Spring.
You come before me as a Friend,
But in the wonders of my Soul,
You are the Lord
With Humanity as Your Garland.
And now,
When these feet seem to walk alone,
They are dancing.
When this voice seems to laugh alone,
It is singing.
For, when I embrace Humanity,
I am embracing You.
O Krishna, You have planted a seed:
Behold! I am within You
And You are within Me!"
(August 11, Krishna Janmashthami)
Kahna - The name Shri Krishna was lovingly called by the Gopis & Gopas of Vrindavan.
